An historic home in Southeastern Michigan, blending Victorian elegance with contemporary comfort.
In 1836, young David Carpenter left his home in New York State with nothing but twenty-five dollars and a lot of ambition. Settling in Blissfield, Michigan, he opened a dry goods store and soon began planning "the finest home between Toledo and Buffalo," adjacent to the Erie and Kalamazoo Railroad tracks. In 1963 Arthur "Buck" Weeber and his wife Allison purchased the Hathaway House and converted it to a restaurant. The Weebers operated the The Hathaway House with their seven children, and his son Art Jr., his wife Mary, and their children continues its operation today.
